Question 1:
Discuss the TWO (2) tools that were your personal favorites from the semester and why.
The first tool that I loved using this semester was Canva. I personally loved Canva because it is a completely free app/website (minus some images that may cost money if you choose them, but there are a ton of free ones). you get to create any graphic you may like. For my Canva project, I did a poster about a famous musician like the assignment said to do, and choose to do it over Justin Timberlake. After completing that project however, I realized that there are many other things you can do on Canva, and all of the amazing graphics you could create. As a future teacher, I will definitely be using Canva in my own classroom. I can see myself making different class posters to hang around my room, incorporating it into lesson plans and having my class create their own posters, and using it for my future class website. There are so many other ways for teachers to use Canva, and that is another reason why I loved it so much. You can be as creative as you want to be, and it is easy to use and figure out. Downloading your images is simple too. I will definitely continue to use Canva outside of this class, and recommend it to everyone, whether they are a teacher or not.

The second tool that I loved using this semester was Ted-Ed. Ted-Ed is such a great resource, and I had no idea that it existed before this semester. I had already loved watching Ted talks, so when I found out that there was also Ted-Ed, where teachers could create their own assessments off an educational video from their site I was amazed. I loved how many videos you could choose from, and how each one was entertaining and very educational. Ted-Ed is very simple, all you have to do is go to YouTube, type in "Ted-Ed" and all of the videos pop up. Next, just choose a video that you want your students to watch and learn from, copy the link, and go to https://ed.ted.com/videos and paste it. From there, you can use the video as a resource to create your own multiple choice questions, additional resources, discussion posts, and much more. As a future teacher, I will definitely use Ted-Ed in my classroom. The options for videos you can find on there are endless, and they all tie into a lesson plan. I will create these for my students to interact with and learn from. It is a great educational tool, and it is completely free. What's more to love? :)
Question 2:
Look back through your entire website, look at all you have accomplished and learned this semester. Reflect on what you have accomplished & learned this semester.
After a full semester of learning new technology tools, writing reviews, and creating in-depth projects each week, I truly am amazed at what I can do. Creating my own website to use as a portfolio was fun and educational for me, although this wasn't the first class that I have had to create a website for (view my website I created for CAPS in high school here: http://rregier2014.wixsite.com/caps-teacher-ed-2. The biggest thing that surprised me, was that every single week a new app was introduced to me that I had never heard of before. I loved getting to explore them firsthand, and making my own projects from them that I could potentially use in my own classroom. I also was surprised at how well I could navigate through the apps, and how quickly I caught on to learning how to use them. The biggest thing that made me think was the reviews that we had almost every week. Some would say that the reviews were the easiest part of the semester, but for some reason they were difficult for me. With each one, I took the time to really think about what I wanted to write, and took the time to read and look over everything. My "WOW" moment of the semester is this weebly site, getting to look back on it every day and see all of the things that I accomplished over the course of one semester. I love the fact that it serves as a portfolio, that everything is in one place and easy to access. After this semester, my views on using technology in the classroom have definitely changed. Before this semester, I viewed myself as using technology in the classroom by creating powerpoints, finding various educational YouTube videos, and having my students maybe complete projects online or playing review games. Now, I have so many new resources provided to me that I didn't even know existed before. I will definitely incorporate technology in my classroom every day, and make sure to use a variety of it. I even want my students to be able to have access to iPads, because I really have enjoyed getting to use and learn from mine. This class has been a lot of fun to take and learn from, and I am so happy to say that I am definitely walking away from it with a lot of great tools and knowledge that I didn't have before, but that I will definitely keep using.
